New life for an old stairwell

Project info

This old home in Brussels radiates art nouveau. Since the basement rooms were also furnished as living quarters, they required additional light. The solution had to be functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. The occupants opted for a modern design by John Dierickx. His design creates a unity between the old stained-glass windows and the modern one. The old skill remains, albeit in a contemporary version.
